A free video editor with no watermark
Cutline puts nothing on your video: no logo, no end card, no “made with” stamp. You do not need an account either, and the editor works right in your browser.
What “no watermark” means here
Every export from Cutline contains only your footage. There is no logo in the corner and no outro clip added to the end, in the browser version and in the desktop app alike.
There is also nothing to unlock. The editor is free, and you can export as soon as you finish editing, without signing in.
Why there is nothing to remove
Cutline has no backend. Editing, rendering and export all happen on your device, and there are no accounts. Nothing sits between you and the file you export, so there is nothing that could stamp it.
What you get for free
- A multi-layer timeline for video, audio, photos and text, with cut, trim, speed, volume, fades, snapping and undo/redo.
- Subtitles from speech with Whisper and word-level timestamps.
- Text-to-speech voiceover generated in the browser.
- Color grading, scale, rotation, opacity and blur, rendered on the GPU.
- Export to MP4 (H.264 + AAC) or WebM (VP9 + Opus), written straight to disk.
How to export a clean video
- Open the editor and drop your files into the media library.
- Drag them onto the timeline and edit: cut, add text, subtitles and effects.
- Press
⌘E(Ctrl+Eon Windows and Linux) to open export and choose MP4 or WebM. - Save the file to disk. That is all: no login, no watermark.
Good to know
Cutline works best in current Chrome and Edge, which provide the WebCodecs support it relies on. If you prefer a regular app, there is a desktop version for macOS, Windows and Linux. The installers are not code-signed yet, so your system may show a warning on first launch; the download dialog explains how to open them.
Cutline is a compact timeline editor. It has no template library or mobile app. If you need those, see the comparison with CapCut.
